Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for safely treating an osmium-containing waste liquid at a low cost.SOLUTION: A method for treating an osmium-containing waste liquid includes: a first step of adding a reducing agent to the osmium-containing waste liquid; a second step of filtering a deposit in the first step; and a third step of concentrating and separating the osmium during filtration obtained in the second step. A volatile osmium tetroxide which is toxic to a human body is not generated throughout whole steps.
