Abstract:

To obtain the high quality of slag scarcely containing free CaO and gas bubble and also, to improve the outward appearance of steelmaking slag and to sufficiently recover the valuable components in the steelmaking slag, by performing a reform-reduction treatment of the steelmaking slag while keeping molten state of the slag, in the treating method of the steelmaking slag generated at the refining time in a steelmaking process.

Molten steelmaking slag is charged into a reaction-vessel, holding molten iron , and SiO2-containing reforming material and carbon source for reduction, are added into the molten steelmaking slag charged into the reaction-vessel, and the modification treatment and the reduction treatment of the steelmaking slag, are performed while holding the molten state of the steelmaking slag.
