Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve distribution efficiency of a key applied to an on-vehicle computer such as an ECU mounted on a vehicle such as a motor car.SOLUTION: A key generation device generates a first key supplied to an on-vehicle computer by using a master key and a vehicle identifier, generates a first key update request message by using the first key and a common initial key of vehicle and transmits to the on-vehicle computer. The on-vehicle computer updates the initial key to the first key by using its initial key and first key update request message, generates a first update completion message by using the first key, transmits the first update completion message to the key generation device, and the key generation device verifies the first update completion message on the basis of the first key supplied to the on-vehicle computer.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 5
