Abstract:
To miniaturize a door latch device provided with a closing mechanism.SOLUTION: A door latch device 10 is provided with a rotatable fork 26, an interlocking shaft 27 that is established relatively unrotatable with respect to the fork 26, a claw 28 that engages with the fork 26 at a latch position, and a closing mechanism 40 that rotates the half-latched fork 26 to the latched position. The closing mechanism 40 has: a support portion 43c projecting outward from the interlocking shaft 27; a gear member 41 that has a gear portion 41c and an operation portion 41e, and rotates the fork 26 by operating the supporting portion 43c with the operating portion 41e by rotating from an initial position in a first direction B1; and an actuator 60 having a driving gear 63 meshing with the gear portion 41c and rotating the gear member 41 in the first direction B1 and a second direction B2 by the driving gear 63.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 4
