Abstract:

To propose a double shell tank in which an inner tank is enclosed by an outer tank through a vacuum heat insulation layer and which enables expansion of the volumetric capacity compared to a double shell tank having a capsule shape.SOLUTION: A double shell tank includes: a base concrete; an anchor plate having a base part embedded in the base concrete and a plate part exposed on an upper surface of the base concrete; an outer tank provided on the base concrete and having a flat outer tank bottom plate coupled to the plate part of the anchor plate and a cylindrical outer tank side plate extending upward from the outer tank bottom plate; and an inner tank having a flat inner tank bottom plate, provided above the outer tank bottom plate, and a cylindrical inner tank side plate, extending upward from the inner tank bottom plate, and enclosed through a vacuum heat insulation layer by the outer tank.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
