Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a drain pot capable of reducing a load of a maintenance operation, and an operation method thereof.SOLUTION: A drain pot for filtering a drain picked up from a compressed air pipeline 1 is provided with a filter layer 30 for partitioning a drain housing chamber 20 inside a drain pot body 11 into an upper chamber 21 and a lower chamber 22. A drain introduction port 25 connected to the compressed air pipeline 1 is provided in the lower chamber 22, and a drain exhaust port 26 is provided in the upper chamber. The drain introduced to the lower chamber 22 can be filtered in a direction opposite to a vertical direction (i.e., a direction against a gravity force), and an almost entire region of the filter layer 30 can be substantially used for filtering the drain. Accordingly, even when one region of the filter layer 30 is clogged by foreign matters such as iron chips, the drain can be filtered in other regions that are not clogged.
