PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve reliability of an operation at other time than operation start and operation stop, in the case of connecting a plurality of pumps in series.SOLUTION: A drainage system is provided which includes: a plurality of pumps including an underwater driving electric motor; pipelines connected to the plurality of pumps in series; and a control device which, in the case where the drainage amount of one pump out of the plurality of pumps is changed, at other time than the operation start and the operation stop, continues an operation of the pumps while changing the drainage amount of other pumps being interlocked with the change.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
