Abstract:

To provide a drive controller and a drive control method of a new hybrid vehicle capable of achieving an intended standby position even when a clutch position is changed due to wear and an error.

When an engine start request occurs during motor travel, a first clutch CL1 is controlled so that a clutch plate of the first clutch CL1 is moved from a first standby position (A) in an open state to a second standby position B in a sliding engagement state before controlling a second clutch CL2.
