Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a drive unit which can automatically adjust the tension of a belt of a conveyor at smaller energy consumption than a conventional drive unit, can be efficiency driven by the automatic adjustment of the tension, and can reduce a manufacture cost, and its operation method.SOLUTION: A main actuator 2a which is driven by fluid pressure comprises: a transport conveyor 6 which is driven independently from the main actuator 2a; a position holding cylinder 16 which can move a moving pulley 6b wound to an endless belt 8 of the transport conveyor 6 to a direction in which the tension of the endless belt 8 is changed, and fixes a position of the moving pulley 6b when the fluid pressure is not supplied; a main pump 12 which pushes out fluid; a control valve 3 which controls a flow of the fluid which is pushed out of the main pump 12; and a control device 14 which controls the control valve 3. The control device 14 controls the control valve 3 so as to supply the fluid to the position holding cylinder 16 when the main actuator 2a is not operated, and to supply the fluid to only the main actuator 2a when the main actuator 2a is operated.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
