Abstract:
To provide a drive wheel drive device enabling turning performance of a vehicle to be adjusted.SOLUTION: A drive wheel drive device which drives a pair of drive wheels of a vehicle comprises: a first drive power source which provides the pair of drive wheels with drive power to drive the same; a differential gear which distributes the drive power of the first drive power source to each of the pair of drive wheels and has a differential case, a pair of side gears stored in the differential case and a pinion gear stored in the differential case so as to engage with a pair of side gears; a second drive power source which provides the drive power to adjust a torque difference between the pair of drive wheels; and a gear mechanism which transmits the drive power of the second drive power source to the differential gear. The gear mechanism has: a rotating member which is installed so as to transmit drive power to the pinion gear of the differential gear and rotatable with the drive power of the second drive power source; and a transmission member which transmits rotation of the rotating member to the pinion gear.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
