Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a drone with a forward looking camera which images all scenes with the same target luminance.SOLUTION: A drone comprises: a camera 14; an inertia unit 46 for measuring the angle of the drone; and an extraction module 52 for transmitting image data of a movable imaging area of reduced size that is dynamically displaced in a direction opposite to the direction of angle change measured by the inertial unit. The module analyzes the image data element of the effective area and assigns weighting coefficients to each of them, which represent the probability of belonging to the sky, and in accordance with these weighting coefficients, dynamically defines the boundary of the division of the effective area between the sky and the ground. Two different groups of regions of interest are defined for each of the sky area and the ground area. Dynamic exposure control means is controlled according to the image data of one region of interest of these groups, in particular by eliminating the sky area of the region of interest.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 5
