PURPOSE: To obviate the necessary of a brake which forms the cause of paper sheet jam, by holding a paper sheet to be taken in, by the first and the second transfer means, and accommodating the paper sheet into an accommodation part from an opened part by driving both the means in the reverse directions and enabling the paper sheet to travel in both the directions in the transfer passage.
CONSTITUTION: When a paper sheet after printing is left in a printing machine, transfer rollers 4c and 4e are revolved in the clockwise direction, and the rear edge of the paper sheet is returned to the position detected by a paper sheet detection sensor 14 and stops. Then, a motor 25 is driven in the counterclockwise direction, and paper guides 12 and 13 are revolved in the direction of arrow by gears 26 and 27, and the underside of a transfer passage 5 is opened. Then, a transfer roller which is coaxial with the axis 21 of the paper guide 13 is turned in the clockwise direction, and when the top edge of the paper sheet is transferred to the position detected by a paper sheet detection sensor 15, the center part of the paper sheet is distorted downward. Further, when the transfer roller is turned in the clockwise direction, and a transfer roller 4c is turned in the counterclockwise direction, the paper sheet is dropped from a transfer passage 5 and accommodated into a stacker.
