PURPOSE: To provide a remote power controller in which it is not necessary to add a private signal line for interrupting the supply of a power supply voltage to a terminal main body.

CONSTITUTION: An interface signal transmitting means is provided at a host computer 11 side, and an interface signal is transmitted to a terminal equipment 12. Also, an interface signal receiving means is provided at the terminal equipment 12 side, and the interface signal is received. The signal voltage of the interface signal received by the interface signal receiving means is detected by a voltage detecting circuit 35, and compared with a reference voltage, and a switching voltage (d) corresponding to the compared result is generated. Then, a switching means is provided between a terminal power source 15 and a terminal main body 18, and the supply of the power supply voltage is interrupted corresponding to the switching voltage (d). Therefore, the remote power control of the terminal equipment 12 can be attained from a host computer 11 side.
