Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To measure underground elastic wave velocity by a simple method.SOLUTION: An oscillation device 102 simultaneously generates noise and oscillation at an arbitrary oscillation point. Time of arrival of the generated noise and time of arrival of the generated oscillation are measured at a measurement point distant from the oscillation point by prescribed distance L. An elastic wave velocity calculation device 108 estimates occurrence time of the noise and the oscillation on the basis of the time of arrival of the noise and the prescribed distance L and calculates underground elastic wave velocity in the ground between the oscillation point and the measurement point on the basis of the occurrence time of the estimated noise and oscillation and the time of arrival of the oscillation.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
