Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress a positive ion generated in a positive ion generating part from being discharged outside as a positive ion without being converted into a neutral atom.SOLUTION: An ion generator 10 comprises: a positive ion generating part 13; and a negative ion generating part 14. The positive ion generating part 13 includes three discharging sites 17 which are arranged so as to align with a predetermined gap interposed therebetween in a Y direction substantially orthogonal to an X direction (a direction from the positive ion generating part 13 toward the negative ion generating part 14) in which air flows. The negative ion generating part 14 includes three needle-like electrodes 21 arranged so as to align in the Y direction with a predetermined gap interposed therebetween. Each of the three needle-like electrode 21 is arranged at a downstream position (a position on s virtual line extending in the X direction) of each of the three discharging sites 17 so as to form a pair with each of the three discharging sites 17.
