To provide an electric drive device capable of improving efficiency.SOLUTION: An electric drive device is equipped with a first motor, a first planetary gear mechanism connected to the first motor, a second motor, a second planetary gear mechanism connected to the first planetary gear mechanism and the second motor, a first output shaft connected to the first planetary gear mechanism, a braking device connected to the second planetary gear mechanism, and a fastening device. The braking device switches a braking state regulating rotations of a part of the second planetary gear mechanism and a non-braking state that freely rotates the second planetary gear mechanism. The fastening device switches a fastening state in which a first rotator of the first planetary gear mechanism or the second planetary gear mechanism and a second rotator of the first planetary gear mechanism or the second planetary gear mechanism, and a non-fastening state. In the non-braking state and in the fastening state, the first planetary gear mechanism and the second planetary gear mechanism rotates, and in the braking state, rotations of a second carrier of the second planetary gear mechanism is regulated.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
