Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To increase the density of dust collecting plates in fixed volume to improve dust collecting efficiency and also to secure electrical insulating property in an electric precipitation filter provided with a first dust collecting plate and second dust collecting plates for electrifying dust in the air to collect it. SOLUTION: This electric precipitation filter is provided with a first dust collecting plate 1 of prescribed length obtd. by covering a thin electric conductor 3 with an electric insulator 4 such as an electrical insulating film and meandering it in the right and left directions and plural second dust collecting plates 2 where thin electric conductors provided with spacers 8 on both sides thereof are formed into strips of paper. The second dust collecting plates 2 have their left ends and right ends alternately connected to left and right side plates 7, 7. These second dust collecting plates 2 are installed between the meanders of the first dust collecting plate 1, and the first dust collecting plate 1 is supported by the spacers 8. Therefore, the side plates 7, 7 are moved near the meandered parts of the first dust collecting plate 1 to enable reducing dead spaces and securing electric insulation.
