Abstract:
An object of the present invention is to prevent leakage of a sealant upon injection thereof. An electric motor has: a rotor 3; a stator 4; a housing that has a storage space for storing the rotor 3 and the stator 4, an opening for opening the storage space P1 upward, and a notch 13d that is concaved downward from an edge surface S2 surrounding the opening; a lead wire 5 connected to the stator 4; a partition wall 8 that is provided on the inside of the notch 13d in order to separate a sealing space P2 for injecting a sealant M1 for covering at least a part of the stator 4 and a space outside the sealing space S2 from each other, and has a through-hole for allowing the lead wire 5 to be extended to the outside of the sealing space S2; a cover 7 that can be attached to the housing 6 from above; and an elastic member 9 that is more elastic than the partition wall 8 and disposed under the partition wall 8. An end surface S3 of the partition wall 8 is disposed on or above a plane surface including the edge surface of the housing 6.
