Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electrode for a battery which, when a battery with a zinc negative electrode and another electrode is constituted, can sufficiently control shape change and dendrites, can prolong the life, and can suppress hydrogen generation, and also to provide the battery.SOLUTION: An electrode for a battery includes a current collector, and an active material layer containing active material particles. The electrode has a structural body constituted from a material having electrical insulation properties in the active material layer and/or on the active material layer. The structural body has a structure obstructing separation from the active material layer of ions derived from active material particles.
