Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electrode capable of obtaining stable water electrolysis performance with a small amount of noble metal, a membrane electrode composite, an electrochemical cell, and a stack.SOLUTION: Provided is an electrode comprising: a catalyst layer including a base material and a plurality of catalyst units provided on the base material and having a porous structure. The catalyst layer includes: the first catalyst layer in which the catalyst units are dispersed at the first dispersion degree in the vicinity of the base material; and the second catalyst layer provided at the upper part of the first catalyst layer, and in which the catalyst units are dispersed at the second dispersion degree.
