Abstract:
To provide an electromagnetic clutch capable of being miniaturized with a simple structure, and transmitting large torque while suppressing self-lock.SOLUTION: An electromagnetic clutch includes: an electromagnetic mechanism 3 supported by a housing 17; an armature 5 disposed in a manner that it can be relatively rotated and attracted to the electromagnetic mechanism 3; a cam mechanism 7 exhibiting cam thrust force between both cam members 75, 77 by relative rotation of the pair of cam members 75, 77, and transmitting torque; a receiving portion 9 for restricting movement of the cam member 75 in a separating direction axially to the cam member 77; a first connection portion 8 for engaging the armature 5 and the cam member 75 with each other; a second connection portion 11 for connecting the cam member 77 to the shaft 15 so that they can be integrally rotated; and a clutch portion 13 formed between the cam member 77 and the housing 17, receiving the cam thrust force, and frictionally engaging the cam member 77 with the housing 17.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
