Abstract:
PURPOSE: To provide an easy-to-manufacture drum for wet type gas meter in which measurement accuracy can be enhanced by suppressing the fluctuation of rotation or the fluctuation of water level when an impeller is submerged into the water or lifted up therefrom and the fluctuation of pressure due to the rotational fluctuation of drum is also suppressed.
CONSTITUTION: A plurality of blades 31-34 extending spirally from one end toward the other end in the axial direction are provided, while being shifted in the peripheral direction, on the inner peripheral surface of a cylindrical drum 1, thus forming a plurality of gas measuring chambers 51-54, partitioned by the blades, in the drum. Preferably, an inner cylinder 2 is disposed coaxially in the drum 1 to form a space for disposing the blades and forming the gas measuring chamber between the outer peripheral surface of the inner cylinder 2 and the inner peripheral surface of the drum 1. Preferably, the inner cylinder 2 is choked, at the end face or the inner part thereof, by choking members 21, 22 having one or a plurality of through holes 24 for allowing passage of water at positions equal to or lower than the level of penetrated water.
