Abstract:
To provide a novel technique for detecting delay of an operation clock of a microcomputer in an electronic control device.SOLUTION: An electronic control device 1 comprises a first processing unit 5 and a second processing unit 7 configured to communicate with the first processing unit via a communication path 6. The second processing unit includes an internal counter 33 and a comparison unit 34. The first processing unit includes a delay determination unit 15 and a signal transmission unit 16. The delay determination unit acquires a state signal from the second processing unit each time a count value counted according to an operation clock signal, which is a clock signal used in the first processing unit and is different from an internal clock signal, reaches an output cycle value. The output cycle value corresponds to a value obtained by dividing an output cycle by a cycle of the operating clock signal. The delay determination unit is configured to determine whether the operation clock signal is delayed on the basis of the acquired state signal. The signal transmission unit is configured to transmit a periodical signal to the second processing unit after the state signal is acquired by the delay determination unit.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
