Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electronic device such as a host electronic device including a physical connector that is highly resistant to corrosion, requires only little space and has aesthetic appearance.SOLUTION: An electronic device 200 comprises: a device enclosure 200 having an exterior surface; a contact area 211 positioned at an exterior surface and having first and second ends, the contact area having a plurality of contacts arranged between the first and second ends and substantially flush with the exterior surface; and an alignment mechanism within the enclosure comprising a first magnet array 214 and a second magnet array 216 on both sides of the contact area, the first magnet array being positioned adjacently to the first end of the contact area and the second magnet array being positioned adjacently to the second end of the contact area.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
