Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an element substrate capable of detecting a temperature just below a heater in high sensitivity, and a recording head using the element substrate.SOLUTION: A recording head is composed, on an element substrate 101 of a multilayer structure, of: a heater 102 formed on a first layer; a first wiring 105 formed on a second layer just below a position, at which the heater is disposed; and a second wiring 106 formed on a third layer 103 below the second layer. Further comprised are: a temperature detecting element formed between the second and third layers and constituted by connecting in series a first beer 107 which connects the first wiring line and the second wiring line; a constant current source for electrifying a constant current; and a voltage detecting circuit for detecting the voltage which is obtained by electrifying a constant electric current to the temperature detecting element.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 3
