Abstract:
The embossing press (9) is for production of embossed seams and comprises an embossing roller (11) and a counter roller (12). It connects at least two superimposed paper or fleece layers moved in a straight line conveyor direction. The embossed seams run inclinedly or at right-angles in relation to the conveyor direction of the paper or fleece layers. The embossing roller is formed with at least two spaced rows of embossing teeth (13,14) and the counter roller is formed at least in its embossment-effective work area as a channelled roller (12). The embossing roller can also be formed with a row of embossing teeth, the total width of which corresponds to that of the producible embossment seams.
