Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To irradiate a laser beam without having an impact on an observation image in an endoscope system in which a laser beam with an arbitrary wave length can be used.SOLUTION: An endoscope system is capable of performing laser treatment using a laser for irradiating a visible laser beam and a laser probe that can be inserted into a forceps channel of a video scope. When a laser treatment mode is set, a saturation pixel is detected and its position coordinates are stored in a memory, and an exposure time t1 shorter than an exposure time t0 set for pixels other than the saturation pixel is set for the saturation pixel. When it is determined that the pixel is not in a saturation state in the next field/frame period, the data of the position coordinates is erased from the memory.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 4
