To provide a method and device for energy saving control operation of an absorption water cooler/heater, in a heat source system for supplying cooling water or hot water for cooling and heating.

According to this energy saving control operation method for the absorption water cooler/heater, in operating the absorption water cooler/heater, the dry-bulb temperature and the relative humidity are sequentially measured, the measurement result is input, and on the basis of a numerical value obtained by operating the measurement result, the temperature of the cooling water circulated through the absorption water cooler/heater 10 is selected and set from a data table previously input to a control board 34a. Either of the rotational speed control of a cooling tower fan motor 26 and combination of the rotational speed control of the cooling tower fan motor and the cooling water temperature adjusting valve control is conducted so that the cooling water reaches a preset temperature.
