Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an inline four-cylinder engine capable of improving exhaust efficiency.SOLUTION: In an inline four-cylinder engine including exhaust valves opening/closing the exhaust ports of cylinders which are continuously ignited, between a first cylinder #1 and a third cylinder #3 whose exhaust flow facing from the exhaust port to an exhaust collection part are opposite to each other, since the opening valve speed of the exhaust valve of the third cylinder #3 performing exhaust later is set slower than the opening valve speed of the first cylinder performing exhaust ahead, the initial flow of exhaust gas exhausted from the cylinder performing exhaust later is suppressed, and the influence on the exhaust flow of the cylinder performing exhaust ahead can be reduced.
