Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To place an auto tensioner, which is used to adjust a tensile force of a driving belt for transmitting power between a crank shaft of an engine and an auxiliary machine, at a proper position at the front side of a chain cover and thereby make a dimension of the engine compact.SOLUTION: An engine belt tension adjustment device includes: an arm 29 which is supported so as to swing around a swing pin 33 fixed to an engine; a tensioner pulley 28 which is supported by an end part of the arm 29 and contacts with a driving belt 27; and an auto tensioner 31 which is connected with the arm 29 and presses the arm 29. The auto tensioner 31 overlaps with a chain cover 6 in a front surface view of the engine and is disposed in a space S sandwiched by a mount attachment part 17 and a crank pulley 26.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
