Abstract:
To suppress occurrence of pre-ignition.SOLUTION: An electronic control unit 20 controls an injector 18 so that fuel corresponding to a requested injection amount QS is injected in a first injection period if a period required for the fuel injection of the requested injection amount QS is shorter than the first injection period, which is a period during which fuel can be injected after the close of an intake valve 14. If the period required for the fuel injection of the requested injection amount QS is longer than the first injection period, the electronic control unit 20 controls the injector 18 so that the fuel of the requested injection amount QS is injected by dividing the injection period into the first injection period and a second injection period, which is a period during which fuel can be injected before start of a compression stroke.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
