Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To appropriately execute output reduction control which is executed when an accelerator pedal and a brake pedal are stepped on at the same time, even when an anti-lock brake system operates.SOLUTION: A PCM 50 as a control device for an engine determines that there is a need for reducing engine output if a brake liquid pressure is not lower than a predetermined value when an accelerator pedal 104 and a brake pedal 102 are both stepped on at the same time, to execute output reduction control to reduce the engine output, and on the other hand, determines that there is no need for reducing the engine output if the brake liquid pressure is lower than the predetermined value. Especially, the PCM 50 determines that there is a need for reducing the engine output if ABS operates when the accelerator pedal 104 and the brake pedal 102 are both stepped on at the same time, even if the brake liquid pressure is lower than the predetermined value.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
