Abstract:
To provide a cooling structure for an engine having a water jacket spacer arranged in a water jacket, for rationalizing the water amount of cooling water moving to an inter-bore route.SOLUTION: The cooling structure for the engine includes a cylinder block 2 having a wall surface defining a water jacket 22 formed encircling a cylinder row 21L to distribute cooling water, and a water jacket spacer 3 arranged inside the water jacket 22 for regulating the flow of the cooling water, the water jacket spacer 3 including an upper end flange 301 provided at the upper end of the spacer body part 30 for regulating the water amount of the cooling water moving from a counter bore side route 22B to a bore side route 22A, the upper end flange 301 having such a shape as to further narrow a space G2 for a second space region S2 opposed to an inter-bore wall 25 than a space G1 for a first space region S1 opposed to a bore center wall 26.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 11
