Abstract:
To provide a cooling device for an engine capable of shortening a warm-up time and improving fuel economy.SOLUTION: A cylinder block 3 includes a pool part 51 for storing cooling water introduced from the outside and supplying it to a cylinder water jacket 52, the pool part 51 extending in a cylinder row direction from the lateral side of a cylinder 7 at the end in the cylinder row direction over the lateral side of a cylinder 7 at the center in the cylinder row direction. An oil return passage 53A extending between the pool part 51 and the cylinder water jacket 52 in the cylinder row direction has a heat exchange part 53B for exchanging heat between the pool part 51 and the cylinder water jacket 52. A cylinder head 2 has an exhaust collection part 33 for collecting exhaust ports 31 of a plurality of cylinders 7 into one exhaust outlet 30, and an exhaust lower side cooling water passage 42 for cooling the exhaust collection part 33. The pool part 51 is communicated with the exhaust lower side cooling water passage 42.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
