Abstract:

To hold a retardation amount of ignition timing in a further favorable state at the warmup of a purification device.SOLUTION: In the case that expansion stroke injection warmup for injecting fuel from an in-cylinder injection valve while being ignited by an ignition plug in an expansion stroke, and synchronized with ignition in the expansion stroke is selected and performed at the warmup of a purification device, when a rotation number of an engine is larger than a prescribed rotation number when performing the expansion stroke injection warmup with preset base ignition timing as the ignition timing, ignition timing is retarded, also when the rotation number of the engine is smaller than the prescribed rotation number, a correction value for advancing the ignition timing is added to the base ignition timing, and the ignition timing is calculated, and when the ignition timing is retarded from the base ignition timing by a prescribed retardation amount or larger, a suction air amount of the engine is reduced.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 3
