Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To promote appropriate activation of a catalyst device while restricting an excessive increasing in temperature of the catalyst device and deterioration of scavenging performance.SOLUTION: There are provided independent passages 40 connected to each of the cylinders 10; a reflow passage 5 constituted in loop to enable exhaust gas discharged from each of the independent passages 40 to reflow; and a downstream side passage 6 having a catalyst device 3 and connected to the reflow passage 5. A downstream side end part 43 of each of the independent passages 40 is arranged in a direction in parallel with a flowing direction of the exhaust gas flowing at a going-way side passage 51 and arranged to face each of the flowing directions. A turbine 72 rotated upon receiving energy of the exhaust gas and an exhaust gas opening/closing valve 80 capable of opening/closing a return path side passage 55 of the reflow passage 5 are arranged at the return path side passage 55 and a power generator 74 is rotated and driven by the turbine 72.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
