To provide a leak inspection method allowing simple and highly accurate leak determination, in a fuel injection device for a cylinder injection engine.
In a check valve 11 as a fluctuating factor of pressure of a fuel pump 2 unique for the cylinder injection engine E, a first fuel supply passage 4 is set to be atmospheric pressure to make a closed state forcibly urged by air pressure and suppress opening/closing operation of the check valve 11 caused by pulsation of air or the like. Since a pressure component of a back-flow from the check valve 11 is corrected by a detection value of pressure, pressure of a second fuel supply passage 5 excluding the back-flow from the check valve 11 is obtained to highly accurately perform structural leak determination of the fuel supply device 1.
