Abstract:
To shorten a time from start of an engine to reaching an activation temperature of a catalyst by warming up the catalyst before the start of the engine.SOLUTION: An engine system 100 includes an intake valve 128 for opening and closing an intake port 124 of an engine E, an exhaust valve 130 for opening and closing an exhaust port 126 of the engine E, a motor (starter motor 154) for rotating a crank shaft 122, a catalyst 162 disposed on an exhaust flow channel 160 communicated to the exhaust port 126, a motor control portion (drive control portion 14) for driving the motor when prescribed start conditions including stop of the engine E are satisfied, and a valve control portion 16 executing a warming-up processing for delaying a valve opening timing and a valve closing timing of the exhaust valve with respect to a valve opening timing and a valve closing timing of the exhaust valve in a case of driving the engine, during a time when the motor is driven in a state that the start conditions are satisfied.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
