Abstract:
To provide a throttle device of an engine which enables reduction of an occupied space in a throttle axis direction to achieve compactification.SOLUTION: A throttle device includes: a throttle body 5 in which a throttle valve 4 is supported in an openable and closable manner by a throttle shaft 3 in a throttle bore 2 and the throttle shaft 3 protrudes to an outer surface; a cover member 7 which defines a mechanism chamber 6 in which a transmission mechanism 8 is housed between itself and an outer surface of the throttle body 5; a motor 9 which is attached to the throttle body 5, transmits rotation of an output shaft 9a protruding into the mechanism chamber 6 through the transmission mechanism 8 to the throttle shaft 3, and adjusts an amount of intake air circulating in the throttle bore 2 in response to opening/closing of the throttle valve 4; a throttle opening sensor 21 which is provided at the cover member 7 and detects a rotation angle of the throttle shaft 3; and at least one of an intake air temperature sensor 22 for detecting a temperature of the intake air and an intake air pressure sensor 23 for detecting a pressure of the intake air, which are provided at the cover member 7.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 8
