Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an engine for a work machine the weight and size of which are reduced.SOLUTION: An engine for a work machine 20 includes a first bevel gear 64 coaxially provided in a crank shaft 49, and a second bevel gear 65 supported in a crossing manner with respect to the crank shaft 49. In addition, a drive timing pulley 66 is supported coaxially with the second bevel gear 65, on a support shaft 69. Furthermore, a driven timing pulley 67 is supported in a crossing manner with respect to the crank shaft 49. In addition, the support shaft 69 is mounted on a crank case 42. In this state, a cam driving belt 68 is wound around the drive timing pulley 66 and the driven timing pulley 67.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 8
