Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a highly efficient engine with a high compression ratio without requiring a complicated and expensive fuel injection device for injecting fuel in high pressure, and more particularly, to provide a highly efficient engine applicable to an engine even using gas fuel such as natural gas. SOLUTION: In the engine 100 compressing fuel G and gas A including oxygen by a piston 3 and burning fuel G and gas A in a main combustion chamber 2, reciprocating and operating the piston 3 within a cylinder 1 and maintaining rotation of a crankshaft 6, the main combustion chamber 2 is provided with a sub-chamber 12 communicated via a throttle hole 14, the sub-chamber 12 is provided with a fuel supply means 15 for supplying fuel G to the sub-chamber 12 and a sub-chamber ignition means 16 for igniting air-fuel mixture of the sub-chamber 12, and the throttle hole 14 allows unburned fuel G in the sub- chamber 12 to jet to the main combustion chamber 2 by propagation of pressure waves obtainable by combustion in the sub-chamber 12 and prevents combustion fire in the sub-chamber 12 from jetting to the main combustion chamber 2.
