Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve an in-cylinder combustion state in an engine.SOLUTION: An engine includes an intake valve 10 for opening and closing an opening 2 on a cylinder 23 side of an intake port 1. The engine further includes a gas injection port 6 for injecting gas toward a direction passing through a position near an axis of the cylinder 23 of a gap between the opened intake valve 10 and the opening 2 and a direction abutting with a cylinder liner 24 of the cylinder 23 in the intake port 1. Furthermore, a fuel injection port 8 is provided for injecting fuel into the intake port 1 in which the flow of the gas is formed.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
