Abstract:
To provide an engraving tool that can reproduce french engraving in combination with manual engraving to semi-automate the process, reduce a load to the body during work, speed up the work, and further, shorten a training period.SOLUTION: An engraving tool includes: a swing shaft; swinging means that receives power from an electric driver to cause the swing shaft to swing around the shaft; and a blade part 35 attached so as to protrude axially forward along the swing shaft and having the axial tip thereof formed as a blade edge part 35d. An outline of the electric driver is partially used as a holding part 9, and when the blade edge part 35d is pressed forward in a posture in which the blade edge part 35d is inclined with respect to an engraving target surface, swinging of the swing shaft changes to zigzag movement whose rotation center alternates between those on both side corners of the blade edge part 35d. Further, during the zigzag movement, because the blade edge part 35d is bent, orientation variation of the blade edge part 35d due to the alternate rotation is corrected within the blade edge part 35d. This allows the axial orientation of a shaft-like base part 35a not to change, and the transverse movement using one's elbow becomes unnecessary.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
