Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a light reception intensity computing device and a position detecting device which have higher sensitivity, higher S/N and ultra small size in comparison with before for detecting a position/movement.SOLUTION: A light reception intensity computing device comprises a plurality of photodetecting sections including two or more photodetectors connected in series to each other via a wiring layer and a plurality of connecting pad. A photodetector in one end of each of the plurality of photodetecting sections is connected to one connecting pad, and a photodetector in another end of each of the plurality of photodetecting sections is connected in series to a photodetector in another end of another photodetecting section via the common wiring layer, and a total sum or a differential of currents generated in the photodetecting sections is computed, thereby obtaining a current generated between pad connections.
