Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an excavation method of underwater sediment capable of excavating sediment in an overhead-space limited and narrow area efficiently.SOLUTION: In an excavation method of sediment that excavates sediment accumulated in the water inside a closing temporary body installed around an existing underwater structure, an excavator 10 is provided with a body part 11 in which a motor 111 with a revolving shaft 11a extended in the vertical direction is stored, a drilling blade 12 to be mounted to the revolving shaft 11a, a connection part 13 arranged on the upper side of the body part 12 and connected with a suction apparatus 80 for sucking sediment and a suction tube 14 extending downward from the connection part 13. The excavation method comprises a drilling and suction step of excavating sediment by the drilling blade 12 of the excavator as the drilling blade 12 is brought into contact with sediment inside a closing temporary body 1 and sucking excavated sediment from the suction tube 14.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 5
