Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an exhaust emission control device for an internal combustion engine, for more efficiently reducing NOx to be exhausted by the internal combustion engine.SOLUTION: The exhaust emission control device for the internal combustion engine includes a storage medium as liquid for storing NOx, storage means for allowing the NOx contained in exhaust gas from the internal combustion engine to be stored in the storage medium, supply means for supplying the NOx stored in the storage medium into a combustion chamber of the internal combustion engine, detection means for detecting the amount of the NOx stored in the storage medium, and control means for controlling the supply means to supply the NOx stored in the storage medium to the combustion chamber when the amount of the NOx stored in the storage medium exceeds a predetermined value.
