Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an exhaust system of an internal combustion engine including a cylinder fuel injector and an intake passage fuel injector, capable of achieving stable combustion at a cold start and early catalyst warm-up.SOLUTION: An exhaust system of an internal combustion engine comprises: an exhaust turbocharger 11 provided in an exhaust passage 51 of an internal combustion engine that includes a cylinder fuel injector 37 and an intake passage fuel injector 39; a wastegate valve 61 of a bypass passage 59; an exhaust gas purification catalyst 53 disposed downstream of the bypass passage 59; starting control means 73 started by the intake passage fuel injector 39 at a cold start of the internal combustion engine and closing the wastegate valve 61; and catalyst warm-up control means 75 warming up the exhaust gas purification catalyst 53 after starting and opening the wastegate valve 61.
