Abstract:
To provide an exhaust valve capable of improving the sealability in the closed state to enable the adjustment of high-performance exhaust quantity and exhaust sound.SOLUTION: An exhaust valve 1 includes a shell 2 connecting an upstream pipe 11 for exhaust gas to a downstream pipe 12, a valve plate 4 mounted to a rotary shaft 3 to be rotated by driving an actuator 8 and arranged in the shell 2, and rotatable to open/close an exhaust flow path in the shell 2, and a stopper 5 fixed to the internal of the shell 2 for abutting on the valve plate 4 in the closed state. At least one of the upstream side abutment face and the downstream side abutment face of the stopper 5 on the valve plate 4 is provided extending from a position nearer the upstream side or the downstream side of exhaust gas further than the outer periphery of the rotary shaft 3 along an inner peripheral face 24 of the shell 2, and the valve plate 4 abuts on the upstream side abutment face and the downstream side abutment face at a position for closing the exhaust flow path.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 4
