Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method and a system for extracting an oxidation product that can extract, from oil used in a machine or a facility, an oxidation product made of an oxidation inhibitor in the oil having been oxidized.SOLUTION: The method for extraction is for extracting an oxidation product from oil. Oil contains base oil as a polar solvent and an oxidation inhibitor as a polar solute. The oxidation product is generated through oxidation of the oxidation inhibitor. The method for extraction includes a mixing process and a filtering process. In the mixing process, oil and a non-polar solvent are mixed so that a mixed liquid containing the oil and the non-polar solvent is generated with the precipitated oxidation product. In the filtering process, the mixed liquid obtained in the mixing process is filtered through a filter.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
