Abstract:

PURPOSE: To prevent sliced meat products from bacterial contamination while distributing and saling, by packaging the sliced meat products after closely attaching an antibaxcterial film including silver-ion soluble glass at least at the surface thereof to the side face of the sliced meat.
CONSTITUTION: After a specified antibacterial film 2 is closely attached at one side or both sides of sliced meat products, the sliced meat products are packaged. This specified antibacterial film 2 is provided with the antibacterial face 5 including silver-ion soluble glass 4 in the constituting material, which gradually leaches out silver-ion, at least at one side of the film surfaces. Or the sliced meat products 1 closely attached to the antibacterial film 2 may be stacked as thick as several stages and packaged together. Moreover, a packaging material having an oxygen-barrier characteristic composed of linear low density polyethylene 6, extension polypropylene 7, ethylene vinyl alcohol copolymer 8, for instance can be used together with nitrogen gas-replacement packing or vacuum packaging.
